Dr. Carsten Bange is managing director of the Business Application Research Center (BARC), an independent software market analyst and IT consulting company he founded in 1999. Carsten Bange holds a PhD in management information systems, is a frequent speaker at IT conferences and BARC lead analyst and consultant on business intelligence and data warehousing strategy, architecture und technology selection for more than 10 years.

Steffen Vierkorn is BARC's Head of Research in the areas of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing. He co-authors the BARC reports The BI Verdict and “Data Warehousing and Data Integration". " He specializes in management information systems with a particular emphasis on business intelligence front-ends and web applications. He also advises companies on software selection.
